~Anime~ The anime Emma--A Victorian Romance (英國戀物語エマ, Eikoku Koi Monogatari Emma) is an adaptation of the manga Emma (エマ, Ema). The first 12 episodes of the series (season 1) were televised in Japan from April 2, 2005 to June 18, 2005. The last 12 episodes (season 2) broadcasted from April 16, 2007 to July 2, 2007. The official site for the anime is at www.emma-victorian.com (japanese). Each DVD (japanese) contains 2 episodes and lasts 50 minutes. Included is a magazine called Emma 副読 magazine (Emma Victorian Gazette), a nice collection of background information, comments and illustrations from the author.
On June 24, 2008, Right Stuf--Nozomi Entertainment will release the first season DVD of Emma: A Victorian Romance with english subtitles. A 96-page Victorian "Gazette" will be included. The second season DVD set will also be released in the near future. The first 1000 fans lucky enough to have pre-ordered the Season 2 DVDs before February 18, 2008 will have their names included in the end credits.
